Tween-to-Teen Summer Reading Program 2017

“Build a Better World” at the library this summer with service projects and programs!  Registration starts on Saturday, June 24.  Earn a raffle ticket for every book you read at your reading level and for every program you attend.

“Build a Better World” with crafts that will be donated to the community while earning service hours.  Each craft will run for two consecutive Thursdays, with instruction repeated each week.  Participants can either complete each project over the course of the two programs or by attending one program and completing the project at home.  Finished items will be
distributed to the organizations at the end of the summer. Registration required online for each craft. Descriptions of craft programs are on the online calendar. Go there to register and see these great crafts!

Summer Reading Programs sponsored by the "Friends of the Library"

Unlike past years, this summer there are only a limited number of programs requiring volunteers due to the renovation project.  There will still be a traditional sign-up book at the library for the large events that do require volunteers.  However, you can “Build a Better World” and earn service hours by making tween-to-teen craft projects, which will then all be donated to various nonprofit agencies.  See descriptions of projects on the online calendar. Individuals entering grade 5 and up can register for these events online.
