The Library has 2 Sony eReaders, 2 Barnes & Noble Nooks and 1 Sony MP3 Player available to check out.

The Barnes & Noble NOOK 1st Edition has a 6-inch display with E Ink technology for easy reading, even in direct sunlight.  It supports multiple file formats, including ePub and PDF, so you can read any of the downloadable eBooks offered by the library or any free eBook in the public domain.  The Nook is preloaded with three books, Emma by Jane Austen, The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells, and Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

The Sony eReader Pocket Edition™ lets you access your favorite books from anywhere. Its elegant, lightweight design is small enough to slip into a purse or jacket pocket, and features a 5" display with E Ink® screen technology for easy reading, even in direct sunlight. For added versatility, it supports multiple file formats including ePub and PDF.

The Sony MP3 Player has built-in speakers, an FM tuner, a voice and FM recorder.  It comes with software that allows you to easily drag the library's downloadable audiobooks from your computer to the Walkman for listening on the go.

The library electronic device program is available to Burlington Public Library card holder only.
You must be 18 years old or older.
These devices have a 14 day loan period.
There is a $1.00 per day fine if the item is returned late.
These devices must be returned to the Burlington Public Library only, during the hours that we are open. They cannot be put in the drop box or returned to a different library.
