Museum Passes
Burlington Library Association pays for library membership to 18 museums/attractions.  Library card holders can borrow these passes as they would a book. You must be 18 years or older to take out a museum pass.

The Children's Museum

West Hartford, CT   860-231-2824  Tuesday - Saturday 10 am - 5 pm, Sunday 12 noon - 5 pm.
Monday 10 am - 5 pm during July and August and on West Hartford School holidays. Pass admits 1 child free with purchase of adult admission.

 


Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo

Bridgeport, CT 203-394-6565, Zoo hours: 9 am - 4 pm daily. Pass admits 2 adults and 4 children free.


Connecticut Historical Society Museum & Library

One Elizabeth Street, Hartford, CT 860-236-5621, Hours: Tuesday-Friday 12:00 - 5:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pass admits 2 adults and up to 4 children free. Closed every Sunday and Monday, New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.



Connecticut's Old State House

Hartford, CT 860.522.6766, Hours: Monday - Friday 10 am to 5 pm. Pass admits up to 2 adults and 2 children free. This pass can only be used during the museum's regular operating hours and does not cover admission for after-hours events. Closed on the following holidays: New Years’ Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.

 


Connecticut Science Center

Hartford, CT 860-724-3623, Receive a coupon for 20% off general admission for up to 4 people. Only one coupon per party per library visit. Hours Tuesday through Sunday 10 am - 5 pm.


Connecticut State Parks

Various locations: Visit the “No Child Left Inside” website at www.nochildleftinside.org for a complete listing of all 137 of Connecticut’s state parks and forests.
Pass provides free parking for one vehicle at all state parks and forests, and admits two adults and four children free at Dinosaur, Fort Trumbull, and Gillette Castle State Parks. 

 


Harriet Beecher Stowe Center

Hartford, CT 860-522-9258. Hours: Wednesday - Saturday 9:30 am - 4:30 pm, Sunday 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm. Open Tuesdays, 9:30 am - 4:30 pm, June through October. Four passes available; each admits two people free.


Hill-Stead Museum

Farmington, CT 860-677-4787. Open: Tues – Sun from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. year around. Closed on Mondays and major holidays. Pass admits 1 adults and 2 children (under 18).


Imagine Nation Children's Museum

Bristol, CT 860-314-1400. Hours: Wednesday - Friday 9:30 am - 5 pm; Saturday 11 am - 5 pm; Sunday 12 noon - 5 pm. Open Tuesdays 9:30 am - 5 pm July and August. Open till 8 pm the first Friday of the month. Pass admits 4 people free.


Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk

DISCOUNTED PASS $2 off aquarium/IMAX combination tickets for up to 6 people.

 
Mark Twain House

Mystic Aquarium

New Britain Museum of American Art

Peabody Museum of Yale

New Haven, CT   (203) 432-5050    Monday - Saturday 10am - 5pm, Sunday 12 - 5pm. DISCOUNTED PASS $5 off up to four admissions. Admission applies to Museum galleries only. Special exhibitions, events and programs may require a fee. Pass is not valid in February. The Peabody Museum has free admission on Thursday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm September through June.


Roaring Brook Nature Center

Wadsworth Atheneum

          FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I get a pass?

Library patrons with a current/active library card can sign out a pass at the main desk.  Although we cannot reserve passes we will hold a specific pass for 1 hour if you call 860-673-3331 first.  

What does the pass allow me to do?

The passes allow for a set number of people to attend the museum at a reduced or free admission.  A patron must abide by the conditions each museum sets forth.

When does the pass need to be returned?

Passes are charged out for two days.  There is a $10 per day fee if it is late.  Please respect other patrons who are waiting for the pass. There is a $250.00 fee for a lost or destroyed pass.
